Crazy mint plant, growing like a weed!

This is my first summer trying to grow some veggies!  We had a late start with the arrival of Reeve so I wasn't sure whether I would have any success.  However, I have been pleasantly surprised with what we've cultivated.  We have cucumbers, tomatoes, snap peas, lettuce, peppers and a few green beans.  Also I have some herbs growing in the kitchen.  I have hopes to make some homemade pesto soon.  

Mama-Lou's Birthday!

I'm about a month late in posting these pictures but I wanted to share nonetheless!  Let me just tell you a little bit about my mom.  She is my hero.  She is beautiful, intelligent, brave, funny, hard-working and overall amazing. You will never know how hard being a mom is until you are one and then you will have a new found respect for your own mother!  I only have 2 kids and it is hard!  I can't imagine having 4 like my mom & dad did!  Crazy!  

We went over to my mom & dad's place for a bbq and mom played with Jack in the pool while Reeve mostly slept. :)  I am so grateful for my mom and for all she has done for me!  Love you momma!

Comparison

I've had a lot of people (including myself) ask if Reeve looks like Jack did when he was a baby.  Below is the best comparison pictures I could find.  Pretty close huh?  Eyes/nose are slightly different.  And yes, that would be the same outfit on the both of them.  We have spent little to nothing on clothes for baby Reeve.  He alas will have the curse of a younger/middle child, hand-me-downs for life. :)

Summer so far

It has been hot, hot, hot here in the TC so below are a few pictures of what we do when it's too warm to do anything else!
