Crazy mint plant, growing like a weed!

This is my first summer trying to grow some veggies!  We had a late start with the arrival of Reeve so I wasn't sure whether I would have any success.  However, I have been pleasantly surprised with what we've cultivated.  We have cucumbers, tomatoes, snap peas, lettuce, peppers and a few green beans.  Also I have some herbs growing in the kitchen.  I have hopes to make some homemade pesto soon.  

Mama-Lou's Birthday!

I'm about a month late in posting these pictures but I wanted to share nonetheless!  Let me just tell you a little bit about my mom.  She is my hero.  She is beautiful, intelligent, brave, funny, hard-working and overall amazing. You will never know how hard being a mom is until you are one and then you will have a new found respect for your own mother!  I only have 2 kids and it is hard!  I can't imagine having 4 like my mom & dad did!  Crazy!  

We went over to my mom & dad's place for a bbq and mom played with Jack in the pool while Reeve mostly slept. :)  I am so grateful for my mom and for all she has done for me!  Love you momma!
